Partner Programs

Cal Poly Partner Programs are administered by study abroad program providers that have been approved by Cal Poly for transfer credit by virtue of their high quality of support services and academic rigor. These programs are accessible to college students from many U.S. universities, including Cal Poly. Partner Program options are available in a wide variety of locations for a summer, semester, academic year; there are also short-term, internship, and virtual partner programs available.

DIS (Study Abroad in Scandinavia)	Denmark, Sweden	All DIS courses take you out of the classroom on local Field Studies, exploring Copenhagen and Stockholm through an academic lens. Our courses also offer you opportunities to participate in research, simulate real-life scenarios through case studies,  gain professional feedback in studio, update your resume with practicum and workshop experience, and more.
FIE (Foundation for International Education)	England, Ireland, Jordan, Spain	We have over 20 years of experience creating active educational experiences that expand minds, foster cultural intelligence, and open up exciting opportunities. Our team are experts in study abroad, with established connections in the world's most global cities. We are a values-driven community, invested in making a difference. SAS (Semester at Sea)	Varies: each voyage goes to at least 10 countries and 4 continents	Our program  allows students to travel and grow with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities in every port. Go to class while sailing the sea, watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean or stare up at the Mediterranean stars. Whether in class, studying, or engaging in shipboard activities, you’re always a few steps away from friends, the ocean and a global perspective.
SIT (School for International Training)	Argentina, Australia, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Ghana, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Nepal, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Portugal, Rwanda, Samoa, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, United States, Vietnam	SIT programs are developed around a framework of the most critical global issues (CGIs) of the day. Our programs are interdisciplinary and appropriate for a variety of majors. Most programs address two CGIs within specific cultural and geographical contexts or comparatively across several countries and continents.
TEAN (The Education Abroad Network)	Australia, China, Fiji, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam	We know more about studying abroad in Asia Pacific than anyone else. Since 1995, the TEAN team has lived, studied, worked and traveled throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia developing strong connections and partnerships throughout the region. We work with you every step of the way to make sure your experience is as smooth (and fun) as possible. This includes helping you figure out courses, credits and finances, organizing accommodation and group excursions while abroad, and more!
USAC (University Studies Abroad Consortium)	Australia, Chile, China, Costa Rica, Cuba, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Uruguay	USAC, a nonprofit organization since 1982, has provided students with life-changing opportunities to live and learn in countries around the globe. We have more than 50 affordable, authentic study abroad programs in 26 countries, and strive to provide you with ample opportunities to become engaged, global citizens.
Wildlands Studies	Varies: past programs have occured in countries such as Chile, Costa Rica, Greece, Hawaii, Iceland, Nepal, New Zealand, Peru, Thailand, and other locations.	For forty years, Wildlands Studies has offered exciting and challenging opportunities. Our field studies programs put you in the field. Hike across mountain meadows, ford streams and camp in the forest. Swim in warm ocean waters and examine coral reefs and sea life. Experience nature in the wild. Our faculty use a mix of teaching methods from formal lecture to informal hands-on instruction in settings that span backcountry excursions, information exchanges with local experts and participation in key community events.
