STUDY ABROAD 101: ADVISING MODULE & WORKSHOPS

Your first step towards studying abroad is to complete the Study Abroad 101 Advising Module. You can start your advising module on your own now over summer break or you can begin it during one of our peer-guided Study Abroad 101 Workshops, which will resume in early October!

STUDY ABROAD 101 ADVISING MODULE

The Study Abroad 101 Advising Module is similar to a self-guided online course that can be done on your own time and in multiple sittings. You must complete the module in order to get advising and, ultimately, apply for all study abroad programs. In addition the 101 Advising Module, you are expected to attend a Study Abroad 101 Workshop where you be introduced to the online 101 Advising Module. Completing both the interactive general workshop and the online Study Abroad 101 Advising Module should be your first steps in the study abroad process as many of your general questions will be covered here!

ACCESS 101 ADVISING MODULE

PEER-GUIDED STUDY ABROAD 101 WORKSHOP

All students are expected to attend the Study Abroad 101 Workshop and are responsible for the content covered in this workshop. This interactive, peer-led workshop will guide you through important topics related to study abroad, such as financial preparations, academic planning and program options, and you can also talk with a trained peer advisor about any questions you have! Our virtual Zoom workshops have unlimited capacity but a sign-up is required to be given access to the Zoom link.

Fall Quarter 101 Workshop Schedule (Released in August)

We will release our fall quarter workshop schedule later this summer. In-person and virtual workshops are offered multiple times per week throughout the quarter. In the meantime, if you have a question now over summer break, feel free to email studyabroad@calpoly.edu and we'd be happy to assist you!

INFO SESSIONS

In addition to attending a 101 Workshop, you are encouraged to attend one or more program-specific Info Sessions.

At these sessions, you will learn more detailed information (and be able to ask questions) about specific programs or topics.  See you there!
