📲 What is AlertTraveler®?

AlertTraveler® is a mobile application for iOS and Android that provides:

  • Real-time safety alerts based on your location and itinerary

  • City and neighborhood safety scores and travel intelligence

  • Quick access to emergency services via the SOS button

  • Check-in requests and communication with Cal Poly emergency services and support staff

  • Incident reporting and feedback to help keep travelers informed

🧭 Check-In Requests

During a crisis, Cal Poly may issue a check-in request:

  • Respond with “I’m Safe” or “I Need Help”

  • Optionally include messages or photos

  • Responses are tracked and supported by Cal Poly’s safety team

📝 Report Incidents

Help others by reporting:

  • Protests, service disruptions, traffic hazards, safety issues

  • Specify severity and type

  • Reports are shared on the map and in the feed (anonymously)
