The U.S. Department of State has suspended new passport applications requesting an "X" gender marker (non-binary, intersex, and/or gender non-conforming), or applications seeking to change a sex marker on an existing passport.  Official policy guidance on existing passports with an "X" marker is forthcoming and will likely be posted to the Department of State travel website (travel.state.gov).
